Alright, I have been putting this off. I have been tagged twice with this one. Here it goes.
10 Years Ago- It was the summer before my junior year of high school. I had just turned 16. I was beginning the awkward dating years-and boy, was I awkward! I spent part of the summer just outside of Bryce Canyon working at my friend's Uncle's hotel (still with me?) in Tropic, Utah.
5 Years Ago- I was married for over a year. We were just getting ready to go to Hawaii with my family. We had just bought our first home, a condo in Salt Lake City. Ah, memories.
5 Months Ago-February...hmm...I was enjoying my sweet 5 month old and 2 1/2 year old. I was celebrating my 6 year anniversary and Valentines Day. I LOVE February. I am such a hopeless romantic.

5 Things People Don't Know About Me
1. My life is an open book, but here it goes...I get embarrassed really easily! Seriously, and I feel other people's embarrassment too. I find it painful to watch others sometimes. You know, when you can't bare to even look because you are so embarrassed for them?
2. I was almost named Hilary. Wow! So glad I dodged that bullet.
3. I did drama and singing lessons in high school. I know, it doesn't really go along with the embarrassed thing. I gave it up my Junior year.
4. My first job was in a day care center.
5. I have a 28in. inseam. Scary huh? Try finding pants that fit. Yikes, I HATE pants shopping. I also hate bra shopping. I just get frustrated and leave with nothing.

6- What is your least favorite kids TV show?Anything not educational like Sponge Bob. Or the Doodlebops-what the heck is up with that? Super annoying.
7- What is your favorite chore?Vacuuming or making beds. Anything simple that makes the house look pulled together.
8- What is your favorite meal to cook?I love trying new things. My new favorite are these Caribbean Pork Chops...YUM!
9- What meal do you cook most often?Crock pot Chicken-super easy and good.
10- What is your kids favorite meal?Chicken Nuggets and strawberries for Luke. Peas and Ravioli for Ty.
11- What's your favorite thing your husband does with your kids?Wrestle and making ANYTHING a game-he is the master at that. They both think he is SO funny!
12- What are 5 things that make you smile when you're being a mom?*Hugs and Kisses*When Luke says "I love you SO much!*Making them laugh*Watching them learn new things-Luke's newest-answering the phone. Ty's newest-pulling himself up on furniture *Seeing them love each other...nothing better.

16- Name one thing you said you'd never say as a mother. I don't know. I can't think of a phrase, but I said that I would never spank.
17- Name something you do that your own mom did.Cuddle my kids and dote so much when they are sick, even if that means getting throw up on me.

20- What is your favorite advice for new moms?Do what YOU think is best. Trust your instincts. God gave his precious spirits to YOU! Believe in yourself, it will come naturally.
21- What is your most heartbreaking moment as a mom?When they're hurt, physically or emotionally. Luke's broken nose was awful. But the worst is when I did spank him...his face. Horrible. See spanking is awful. I wish I could say I was 100% in my quest. I am not, but close.
22- What is your most joyful moment as a mom?When they've realized success in themselves. The days they were born. Looking at their sweet faces, you know you will never be the same again.

I've been tagged

I was tagged by my friend, Natalie. So, here is a little info about my hubby and me...
What is his name? Larry Jacob Swensen.
How long have you been together? Married just over six years.
How long did you date? We dated for 5 months total with engagement! We were quick!
Who eats more? Currently me, and probably usually a toss up. I am still nursing-so consuming more calories...or at least that is my excuse and Jake is on a diet and doing a fantastic job at it. Already down 15 lbs.
Who said "I love you" first? I did. He said it right after.
Who is taller? Lets think about this...anyone who knows me knows it isn't a hard feat to be taller than me...so Jake.
Who is smarter? I'd say it's Jake. Really I think that is true. I am not saying that I am not smart, but at least in IQ tests and other standardized testing he scores a lot higher than me. But we both add something to the relationship and I don't think that it is unbalanced.
Who does the laundry? 95% me, and 5% Jake. I feel that it is mostly my responsibility because I am the one home.
Who sleeps on the right? When we were first married we didn't have set sides of the bed. We were constantly changing it, depending on who got up first. But now he always sleeps on the side next to the alarm clock, so the left.
Who does the dishes? Again me. But we have a nice little system of chores. I put up on our dry erase board the chores I need his help with. At first I thought that this seemed to bossy/elementary/silly. But hey, don't knock what works. This way I feel less stressed, he knows what I need-no guessing games. Everyone is happy.
Who pays the bills? Me.
Who mows the lawn? Jake does almost all the outside stuff.
Who cooks dinner? Jake hates to cook. So always me. But I don't mind. I love cooking dinner for my family. He has had to watch me evolve in the kitchen, but is always supportive and grateful for whatever I make. The great thing about Jake is that he could care less what we eat, even if it is cereal night because Mom has had it. Although, I do think that he is getting a little pickier-he says it is because I am getting better.
Who is more stubborn? I love this question, and babe, don't hate me. But HIM definitely. But he is really working on it. I have my stubborn side, believe you me, but, still its Jake.
Who kissed who first? That would be me. What can I say? I was not usually like that, but I couldn't resist his charm I guess. Plus he had been teasing me for weeks, his whole goal was to try and get me to kiss him first. He won. See, the stubborn thing.
Who proposed? Jake, at Temple Square, December 4, 2001. It was beautiful.
Who has more siblings? Jake beats me hands down. 8 to 3.
Who wears the pants? Well, we both wear pants..ha ha. I think that Jake and I are an equal partnership with various roles but the same goal. As strong willed as we both are, we truly care about the others happiness and well-being above all, and respect each others opinions as well. But I feel that he is the leader of our home, which he does well with love, respect and the guidance of our Heavenly Father.
